Using Solidworks motion analysis, FTP evaluated in a digital environment if an automotive door latch would meet design specifications, enabling the manufacturer to reduce costly, time consuming testing and prototype iterations. Plots of travel, forces, and torques, were generated for all door mechanical and electro-mechanical functions.
